Course Duration


1 Day – training can be delivered either at your place of work, our offices or a suitable 3rd party venue.

Course Objectives


Participants will learn how define Enterprise Level attributes including Fields, Outline Codes, Views, Tables, Reports, Filters, Formats and Grouping to exploit the capabilities of Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 – they will also learn how to define views and reports in the Microsoft Office Project Web Access  2003 environment to deliver key information on demand to differing classes of stakeholders across the Enterprise.

Pre-Requisites


Ideally participants will have attended our Microsoft Office Project 2003 Professional Advnaced course and have had regular experience of using it to manage projects using Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003.

Course Content


  • Manage generic resources in the "local" and "global" environments ·
  • Import resources into the enterprise global resource
  • Work with enterprise resources using custom fields
  • Define and create outline codes for resource substitution
  • Employ the Resource Substitution Wizard and Team Builder to create project teams
  • Manage a project portfolio using the new Enterprise Project functions, including:
  • Working with versions, trend analysis, and what-if scenarios
  • Using portfolio modeling to evaluate changes to projects
  • Working with the new Vision View, including using an OLAP Cube
  • Work with the resource views to assess resource availability and usage across the project portfolio
  • Create and use custom reports with Enterprise Project
